Reclaiming All Of My Voice

Hey there, let me share a little personal story behind today's post...

You see, vocal coaching is more than just a profession for me, it's deeply personal. After years of using my voice without any concerns, I began to encounter vocal fatigue just in using my daily speaking voice.

But what many people don't know is that even before that happened, I began to notice a very subtle sense of loss in my singing voice. So, I made a promise to myself: first, I'll work on regaining my speaking voice, and then focus on reclaiming my singing voice.

Now it's been quite a journey for sure, and my speaking voice is recovered and still getting better and better, but guess what? Today is the day I'm sharing a song as evidence of my ‘singing voice’ progress!

Take a listen, and let's not take it too seriously — let's have fun along the way as we all continue our personal development efforts; and don't worry if there's no video, the recording is intentionally sound only. (not a professional recording, no digital tuning, just me recorded on a cell phone...)

Oh, and by the way, I couldn't resist choosing a Merle Haggard song. He's my all-time favorite country artist. 🎵

Stay tuned for more valuable stories, insights and tips on vocal coaching.

But before you go, I'd love to hear about your own vocal journey.

  • What's your vocal journey look like?

  • What'd you think about your own voice? Communication? Presence?

  • Where'd you want to go with your confidence in connecting with others?

Let me know! I'm here to help 😊
